Oneta Robbins

Oneta O. Robbins, 92, Sweetwater, Tennessee, formerly of Crawfordsville, passed away Friday, May 6, at 2:45 AM, at the Colonial Health Care, Maryville, Tennessee. She was born July 4, 1918 in Boone County, Indiana, to Oliver and Orpha May (McMannis) Smith. She married Orren Robbins November 21, 1936 in Greenfield, Indiana. He preceded her in death in 1985.

Mrs. Robbins retired in 1976 after 25 years as a Head Cashier and Bookkeeper for the A&P Grocery Store in Crawfordsville. She was a 1936 Graduate of Roachdale High School.

She is survived by 3 sons: John (Marci) Robbins, Sweetwater, TN; Don Robbins, Indianapolis, IN; and Larry (MIchelle) Robbins, Lovettsville, VA. She is also survived by a sister, Evelyn Thomas, Plainfield, and 8 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.

A Private Family Committal service will be held Tuesday, May 10, at the Oak Hill Cemetery Mausoleum, Crawfordsville. There will be a public visitation on Tuesday from Noon until 2:00 PM at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville.
