Paul K. "Mike" Keller

July 18, 1925 — March 9, 2015

Mr. Paul Keith "Mike" Keller, age 89, of rural Wallace, In. passed away at 2:10 PM Monday March 9th at Roudebush VA Hospital, Indianapolis, In.

Mike was born in Parke county, In.on July 18, 1925 the son of George Roscoe and Myrtle Faye (nee-Hallett) Keller. He attended school at Wallace and graduated from Waveland High School, Waveland, In. Mike served in the US Army during WWII as a Staff Sgt with the 3838th Quartermaster Supply Company in the European theater.

After the service Mike worked as a union carpenter helping to build nurmerous houses locally, and many buildings at Purdue and Indianapolis and Crawfordsville, In. Mike married Barbara Carlile on October 11, 1953 and they also farmed east of Wallace, In. He and Barbara enjoyed belonging to the Sugar Creek Square Dance Club and Mike often times called at many dances.

He is survived by 2 daughters: Mrs. Ann & Ron Grubbs and Mrs Lisa and Kenneth Joe Sheetz both of rural Wallace. In. Also 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Mike was preceded in death by his wife, 1 sister, 4 brothers and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Paul K. "Mike" Keller will be held at 11 am Thursday March 12, 2015 at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, 202 Bratton rd., Waynetown, In. with the Rev. Kelly Nelson officiating. Military honors will be conducted at the funeral home at the begining of the funeral service. Burial will follow in the Wallace Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 4:00Pm till 8:00pm Those who wish may make memorial donations to the Jackson township Scholarship Fund. Envelopse wwill be available at the funeral home.
