Penny Joan (Collins) Wakefield

Penny Joan Wakefield, 71, of Crawfordsville, Indiana passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2020 in Lafayette, IN. She was born on September 18, 1948 in Crawfordsville, IN and was the daughter of Patricia and Bill Parish. Penny married Jerry Shields on May 27th, 1966 who precedes her in death and then married the love of her life, Ralph Wakefield on November 13, 1992 in Henderson, Kentucky.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph Wakefield; Mother, Patricia Parish; Brother, John (Carla) Parish; Sons, Tim (Lisa) Shields and Todd (Stephanie) Shields; Daughters, Tonya (Tim) Ward and Aleshia (Steven) Wheeler; 10 Grandchildren, Kaley Shields, Eric (Frances) Shields, Kyle Shields, Kolton Duggan, Jennifer (Abe) Varghese, Emily (Evan) Baker, Kathy Ward, Grace Ward, Landon Wheeler and one granddaughter, Elliot “D.J” due in July; 4 great-grandsons, Elijah, Jayden, Jedidiah and Isaiah and 1 great-granddaughter, Penelope due in May.

Penny is also preceded in death by her father, Bill Parish.

Penny was retired from customer service at Turk Furniture in Danville, IL and enjoyed doing puzzles, online games, camping, and vacationing at the beach.
