Richard L. Mann, age 78, of Covington passed away on 3/18/2015 at 1:15pm at the Waters of Covington. He was born in Lafayette on April 14, 1936 to the late Floyd and Mary Emma (Ross) Mann. He graduated from Monitor High School in 1952 and attended Purdue University. In September of 1966 he married Louise (Brooker) Mann, who preceded him in death in 2002.
Richard proudly served in the United State Marines during the Korean War. After the war he worked in the office at L.A Davison. He enjoyed leather work and worked on many saddles, purses and belts. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge and earned Scottish Rites, and was a member of the Shiner's Club and the American Legion.
He is survived by three sons, Ted (Donna) Mann of Covington, John Mann of Lafayette, and Tom Mann of West Lafayette; one brother, James Mann of NC; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Louise; and son, Richard.
