Mr. Richard Allen "Dick" Watson, 71, Crawfordsville, passed away Wednesday, September 23rd, at 3:30 PM, in the St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born September 11th, 1944, in Crawfordsville, to Darrel Robert and Mary Jane (Flint) Watson. He married Nancy Louise Stultz on July 5th, 1964, in Brownsvalley. She survives.

Mr. Watson retired in 2010 from The Town & Country Homecenter where he had worked for over 25 years. He had previously worked for R.R. Donnelleys and also the Crawfordsville B.F. Goodrich Tire Store, which he later purchased and ran as the Watson Tire Store. He was a 1962 graduate of Waveland High School and attended Indiana Central College in Indianapolis. His memberships included the New Hope Christian Church and the Crawfordsville Jaycees.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters: Angie Watson, Crawfordsville; and Vicki (Aaron) Luzader, Pittsboro. Also surviving are his brothers: Bob (Betty) Watson, and Ed Watson, both of Waveland; his sister: Lori (Clarence) Brown, Phoenix, Arizona; and grandchildren: Levi and Grace Luzader. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, September 28th, at the New Hope Christian Church, 2746 US 231 South, with Rev. David Finch officiating. Burial will follow in the Indian Creek Hill Cemetery, New Market. Friends may call at the church on Sunday, September 27th, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Powers-Priebe Funeral Home is assisting with service arrangements. Memorials may be sent to the New Hope Christian Church Pastoral Care Team.
