Richard Max Wills

Richard Max Wills passed away peacefully at 10:00 pm on Wednesday, August 25 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born to James Clarence Wills and Opal Capitola (Smith) Wills on February 10, 1931.

He attended Crawfordsville Schools and graduated in 1949. He was a member of Mt. Zion EUB Church. He married Patricia Pearson from West Lebanon on January 8, 1956. He was in the Air Force for three years stationed in Germany during the Korean War. After his service, he worked for the post office for 30 years. He also farmed, he called it his hobby.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years Patricia; his son James Wills of Crawfordsville, a loving niece Debi Wills of Branson, MO; and several other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Rebecca Lea and Beverly Kay; his two sister, Barbara Cloncs and Betty Howard; and a brother, Rex Wills.

There will be a graveside service at Oak Hill Cemetery on September 1, 2021 at 3:00 pm with Pastor Gary Edwards. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the charity of your choice.
