Rita Irene Seymour

Rita Irene (Daupert) Seymour, age 73, of Tangier passed away at 5:17pm on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Union Hospital in Clinton. She was born in Lebanon on January 3, 1942 to the late George and Mildred (Belcher) Daupert.

Rita graduated from Perry Central High School in 1960 and married Jerry Seymour on September 3, 1960 in Brownsburg. She was a homemaker and had a passion for sewing. She owned and operated Sew Country in Rockville for several years. She enjoyed attending dog shows, loved her collies, and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Seymour, of Tangier; two daughters, Dawn Seymour of Missouri and Tonya Seymour of Tangier; three sons, Jerry (Jayne) Seymour of Jamestown, Jim Seymour of Brownsburg, and Wade (Ramona) Seymour of Fayette; three brothers, William (Marilyn) Daupert of Arizona, George (Hazel) Daupert of Lebanon, and Richard (Patricia) Daupert of Fayette; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 5-8pm at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street, Kingman. Funeral will be at 1pm on Friday, February 27, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor John McLain officiating. Burial will follow at Tangier Cemetery.
