Robert "Bobby" Brown

January 10, 1950 — April 13, 2024

Veedersburg

Robert "Bobby" B. Brown born January 10, 1950 in Crawfordsville, Indiana to Ivan and Elizabeth (Myers) Brown and passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at his home on his own terms. His heart was what failed him, but that's because he had a heart bigger than himself.

Bobby graduated from Waveland High School in 1968. He lived on the Myers family homestead since 1974, which has been in the Myers family since 1839.

Bobby retired from Sommer Metalcraft. After retirement, he worked for the new owners of Sommer Metalcraft and his last employment was with the Fountain County Highway Department.

Bobby was a strong supporter of the local beverage establishments in the downtown Crawfordsville area for many years. A huge thank you to his former boss, Jon Sommer, who convinced him to quit supporting those establishments and to save his money.

Bobby loved mowing even though trees would jump out in front of the mower on more than one occasion. He enjoyed collecting eagles, watching and reading westerns, mushroom hunting, and driving his car way too fast (right Tom McCarty?).

Bobby will be deeply missed by his brother, Ivan Brown, Crawfordsville; sister Pearlie Grace, Churchill, Michigan; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and his two cats, Bonnie and Clyde, who live up to their names.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Gloria Jean LeJeune; brothers, Ron and David Brown; and his favorite cat, Poopsie.

Per Bobby's request, he will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held at the Ripley Township Fire Department in Alamo on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Memorials can be made in Bobby's name to Home for Friendless Animals, 7649 County Road 20 South, Waynetown, Indiana, 47990. Share memories and condolences online at www.SandersFuneralCare.com.
