Robert Cash

Robert Cash passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, Indiana, on May 28, 2010 at 10:17 p.m. He was born May 16, 1931 in Montgomery County to Edwin and Betty (Stump) Cash. Robert retired from Mid States Wire and then owned NBC Trucking for several years. He was formerly married to Paula (Walden) Cash. He was a 1949 graduate of New Market High School where he played and was named to the 1949 All Sectional 1st Team. He was also a member of the Indiana National Guard and spent several years coaching Little League and Jr Legion baseball teams.

He is survived by 3 sons; Bob (Michelle) Cash of Crawfordsville, Tim (Jill) Cash of Ft. Wayne, Butch Stout of Crawfordsville; A daughter, Tanya (Kenny) Shofner of Whitesville. Also survived by a brother, Wally (Lois) Cash, of New Market and a sister, Louise Cash, of Crawfordsville; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Robert is preceeded by his parents, 4 brothers; Harold, Malcolm, Russel, and Lloyd Cash and 1 sister, Mabel Bowers.

Funeral Services will be held at Powers Priebe Funeral Home, 315 South Washington Street, Crawfordsville, Indiana 47933 on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Doug Givan, Christ Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation Wednesday, June 2, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial at Oak Hill North Cemetery, Crawfordsville.
