Robert Dean Goodman

Robert Dean "Oscar"Goodman, age 57, of Kingman, passed away on Friday July 21, 2017 at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville.

He was born in Morehead, KY to the late William J. Goodman and Virginia (Blankenbeckler) Good on March 25, 1960.

Oscar graduated from Turkey Run High School in 1978. He worked as a fabricator and welder for Freightcar America in Danville, IL for 18 years and was a member of theLocal 859Carpenters MillwrightUnion.He was loved by all and helped everyone out; was a friend to everyone and didn't know a stranger;tinkered with everything, loved the outdoors, was always mowing, and loved spending time with hisbuddies and his granddaughter, Bug.

He is survived by his daughter,Ashley and granddaughter, Laura "Bug"; his mother, Reda Good; two brothers, Mitch (Debra) Goodman and Patrick (Rhonda) Goodman; two sisters, Rebecca (Perry) Norman and Melissa Harpham; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Lola.

He was also preceded in death by his father, William; brother, Warren; and sister, Shelia.

Visitation will be held at Sanders Funeral Care 203 S 1st Street, in Kingman on Thursday, July 27th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 28th at 12:00 PM with Pastor Steve Crum officiating. Burial will follow at Rush Creek Cemetery.
