Robert Jeffers

Mr. Robert Lee "Bob" Jeffers, 77, Linden, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, October 5th, at 11:09 AM. He was born August 28th, 1937, in Crawfordsville, to Earl Lansford and Helen Louise (King) Jeffers. He married Sharon Lou Meadows on June 1st, 1956, in Wesley, Indiana. She preceded him in death on June 21st, 2005.

Mr. Jeffers retired after 35 years with Tipmont REMC, where he had last worked as an Outside Foreman. He was a 1955 graduate of Coal Creek High School; a member of the Eagles Lodge; enjoyed "woodshopping", NASCAR, traveling, Colts football, and spending time with his children and grandkids.

He is survived by his children: Shari (Bob) Cox, Linden; Jim (Pam) Jeffers, Waveland; Ken (Deb) Jeffers, Linden; his brother: William R. "Bill" (Joyce) Jeffers, Crawfordsville; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and a great granddaughter: Opal Hill.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 8th, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Vauters officiating. Burial will follow in the Linden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 7th, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM
