Robert Peterman

Mr. Robert Eugene Peterman, 93, Crawfordsville, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, September 11th, at 8:04 PM. He was born January 25th, 1921, in Indianapolis, to John Leo and Nellie (Hess) Peterman. He married Avanell Jackson on June 9th, 1940, in Crawfordsville, and they recently celebrated 74 years of marriage. She survives.

Bob was a Carpenter and Interior Decorator for most of his life. He had many talents including music and art. He was a member of the Sonlight Weslyan Church; attended New Ross High School; played with the "Back Porch Pickers"; and recently enjoyed sitting on the back porch watching the birds and feeding his squirrels some peanuts by hand.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter: Rose Anna (Donald) Kincaid; his sons: Robert (Ginny) Peterman, and David Peterman, all of Crawfordsville. Also surviving is his brother: Richard (Elanor) Peterman; his sister-in-law: Marilyn Peterman, both of Crawfordsville; 12 grandchildren; and 29 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Tom Peterman; sister: Mary Sutton; and grandson: Matthew Peterman.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 16th, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, with Pastor Keith Jones officiating. Burial will follow at the Mace Community Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from Noon until the service time
