Roberta Jane Cash, 90, Brownsburg, IN and formerly of New Market and Crawfordsville, passed away peacefully at 6:50 AM Saturday, July 10th, 2010. at the Brownsburg Meadows Healthcare, Brownsburg, IN.. She was born December 24, 1919 in Putnam County to Ivan Earl and Lelah Mae (Ridlen) White. She was married to John Russell "Rud" Cash who preceeded her in death on January 1, 1988.
Mrs. Cash had been a homemaker and had also been the Post Mistress at the New Market Post Office. She had also been a bookkeeper for the Diana Shop in Crawfordsville, and worked at the Wrights Grocery in New Market.
Mrs. Cash was a 1937 graduate of New Market High School. She was a member of the Waveland Order of the Eastern Star, where she had been the Worthy Matron. She was a member of the Parkersburg Christian Church, Parkersburg, IN and attended the Calvary Tabernacle Church in Indianapolis. She loved to spend time with her family, read, and was a great cook.
She is survived by daughters: Judy (George) Borders, Crawfordsville, IN; Carol (Carl) Lamb, Crawfordsville, IN; Luann (Jerry) Crawford, Ladoga, IN. She is also survived by grandchildren: Jennifer Matthews, Jeffrey Turner, Amy Killmon, Loretta Spencer, and John Lamb, and 8 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was preceeded in death by her parents; brother, Albert Bill White; sister, Joan Thompson
