Robert "Butch" Wayne Thomas

Mr. Robert "Butch" W. Thomas, age 81, passed away Sunday morning July 7, 2019 at his home at Lake Holiday, Crawfordsville, IN.

Butch was born on May 25, 1938 at Georgetown, IL, the son of Herman Thomas and Frances (Harrier) Thomas and graduated from Hillsboro High School. He worked for R.R. Donnelley and Son at Crawfordsville, IN for 41 years and retired as a bookbinder. Butch married Carolyn Sue Pugh on October 9, 1971 and they made their home at Waynetown before moving to Lake Holiday. He formerly attended Waynetown Christian Church and was a member of the Donnelley Club and the Ben Hur Car Club.

Butch is survived by his wife Carolyn, daughter Cindy (Allen) Jeffries of Crawfordsville, sons Larry of Crawfordsville and Rob (Michelle) of Fort Wayne, IN.  He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Brandie Smith, Brooke Heibel, Nick, Sam, Adi, Gigi, Lily and Sophie Thomas. Along with his great grandchildren Landon Justice, Gramm and Everett Heibel and Kade Thomas. His is also survived by a brother Ronald Thomas of Stockwell, IN. and sister Mildred Bartelson of Aurora, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Gene Thomas and granddaughter Lexi Rose Thomas.

Visitation will be Thursday July 11th at Shoemaker Funeral Home, 202 Bratton Rd., Waynetown, IN. from 10am until the funeral service at 12 noon. the funeral will be officiated by Pastor Steve Wever and burial will follow in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
