Rodney Lee Jenkins

Rodney Lee Jenkins, age 64, of New Ross passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville. He was born in Oak Park, Illinois on December 10, 1953 to the late George & Dorothy (Perry) Chrisman.

Rodney graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1973 and on March 29, 1975 he married the love of his life, Judy L. (Crispin) Jenkins, who survives. Rodney worked 37 years for the Crawfordsville Street Department and was the Street Commissioner and worked 7 years at the Montgomery County Highway Department as the Highway Director.

He was a proud member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, racing and loved animals.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Judy Jenkins of New Ross; a son, Rodney L. Jenkins Jr. of Crawfordsville; mother-in-law, Barbara Edwards; 3 grandchildren, Cole Jenkins, Jaimie Reed, and Samantha Reed; a great granddaughter, Ivy Logsdon; a brother, Terry Chrisman and step brother, Jim Chrisman; 2 step sisters, Freda Melvin & Patty Sarver; and brother and sister in-laws; Garry (Karen) Crispin, Cindy Edwards, Ralph (Cheryl) Edwards, Amy Polly, Jill (Clay) Adams.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Charles Crispin, step father-in-law, Carl Edward, step mother-in-law, Doris Crispin, sister-in-laws, Laurie Turpin, Elizabeth Vannice, Patti Wray, and brother-in-law, Doug Edwards.

Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S Washington Street in Crawfordsville on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 11:00am till the time of the funeral service at 2:00pm.
