Rodney Allen McCormick

Mr. Rodney Allen McCormick, age 66, passed away on Wednesday afternoon October 19, 2011, at St. Vincent Hospital Indianapolis, In.following a short illness. Born on October 15, 1945 he was the son of George Russell and Mary Elizabeth Pierce McCormick. A 1963 graduate of Coal Creek Central high School he married Janet Johnson on March 28, 1965 and they made their home in the Waynetown community until moving to Crawfordsville 20 years ago.He formerly worked at MidStates wire for 22 years then retired from Raybestos in 2007. He was a member of the Linden United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife Janet McCormick of Crawfordsville, In.
Son; Brad and Kim McCormick of Indianapolis, In. Daughter: Andrea and Matt Stonebraker of Coatsville, In. Grandchildren:Nate Stonebraker, Abby McCormick and Josh McCormick.
He is also survived by his mother: Marry McCormick of Waynetown, In. Brothers: Tom and Gena Mccormick of Waynetown, In. Russell and Stephanie McCormick of San Clemente, Ca. and Randy Mccormick of Waynetown, In. and sister: Ann Andrson of Ahsahka, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his father and one nephew, Erik McCormick.

Funeral serrvices will be held at 2:00 pm sunday October 23, 2011 at Shoemaker Funeral Zhome, Waynetown, In. with the Rev. Patty Bymaster officiateing. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Family will receive guest from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
