Rodney Leo Servies

Rodney Leo Servies, 58, New Market, passed away, Wednesday,January 24th, 2018, at Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis, after a lengthy battle with kidney disease. He was bornNovember 23rd, 1959, at Culver Union Hospital in Crawfordsville, to Edward Leo and Ethel Loraine (Britton) Servies. He married Darlene Kay Fox onJuly 12th, 1986at Brownsvalley. She survives.

Mr. Servies was employed as a Cashier at Cracker Barrel in Crawfordsville. He also was a Retail/Cash Trainer. He was a member of the New Market Christian Church. In his free time he enjoyed camping, baking, painting, and doing crafts.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter: Kristian (Ryan Loy), New Market; his son: John W. Servies, Crawfordsville; his grandsons: Logan W. Rosenbaum and Joshua E. Rosenbaum, both of New Market. Also surviving are his sisters: Kathy (Charley) West, Crawfordsville; Cindy (Bill) Woodall, Darlington; Becky Clements (Joe Carlile) , Crawfordsville; sister-in-law: Mary (Roger) Towell, Veedersburg; as well as nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his birth parents; a nephew; and his father-in-law.

Cremation was chosen with a Memorial Service being held at 3:00 PM on Sunday,January 28th, at the New Market Christian Church, 300 S. Third St, with Rev. Kurt Flora officiating. The familywill greet friends onSundayat the church from 1:00 PM until the service time. Powers-Priebe Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Rod's name may be made to the New Market Christian Church
