Ronald Lynn Bell, age 70 of Crawfordsville, passed away on July 3, 2020 at home. He was born in Lafayette on October 2, 1949 to the late Lester Paul & Margaret Irene (Calder)Bell.
Ron graduated from Waynetown High School in 1967 and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. On June 25, 1988 he married, Vickie Kay Mosier, who preceded him in death on April 5, 2018. Ron worked for 32 years as a material handler at R.R. Donnelley’s. Ron enjoyed fishing, camping, mushroom hunting, collecting guns and military memorabilia, loved watching old westerns, was very patriotic and loved his country.
He is survived by a daughter, Jessica (Tom) McClamroch of Crawfordsville; a step-daughter, Lora (Travis) Moore of Carmel; three sisters, Carolyn Sarjent of Lafayette, Connie (Rich) Cash of Brookston, Patti (Tim) Oldfather of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, Easton McClamroch, Kinley Clore, and Jude McClamroch; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Vickie.
There will be a Private Family Service on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 which will be live-streamed and recorded, which can be viewed on Ronald’s obituary page at www.sandersfuneralcare.com. The service will be followed by a Public Graveside Service at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery at 2:00pm with Rev. Mike Whitacre officiating and military honors by the United States Air Force and Byron Cox Legion Post 72 Honor Guard.
