Ronald Reed

Mr. Ronald D. Reed, Sr., 77, Crawfordsville, passed away Wednesday, July 25, at 11:05 PM in the Lane House Nursing Home. He was born June 19, 1935 in Hazel Bluff, Indiana, to Lloyd and Sara E. (Wheeler) Reed. He first married Erna Vestal with whom he had his children, and later married Beverley Matteucci February 14, 2005, in Mellott. She survives.

Mr. Reed had worked at the Jones Dairy Farm in Marshall; Harrison Steel in Attica; Fountain Central High School; and the Indiana State Highway. He attended school at St. Mary of the Woods High School in Terre Haute; loved to fish; and enjoyed CB radios.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Pennie (Dan) Aldrich, New Ross; Ronald Reed, Jr., New Ross; and Ernest (Diana) Reed, Attica. Also surviving are brothers: James (Pam) Reed and John (Ruthann) Reed, both of Attica; sisters: Lula (Ed) Bradbury, Covington; Audrey Cobalt, Petersburg, Indiana; grandchildren: Allison Aldrich, Daniel Aldrich II, Aundrea Rainey, and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife; brother: Jury; and grandson: Eric Reed

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 28, at 3:00 PM, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, with Rev. Richard Carty officiating.
