Ronald "Ronnie" Eugene Seaman, age 82, of Ladoga, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He fought a short battle with cancer. He was born in Williamsport on June 18, 1938 to the late Lowell and Mercedes Rebecca (Welsh) Seaman.
Ronald graduated from New Market High School in 1956. He graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He served with the 31st surgical, Mash Unit in Germany. Ronald married the love of his life, Nancy Ann Dyer on November 19, 1961. Ronald was self-employed and did various jobs in farming, construction, and gardening. He enjoyed growing vegetables in his greenhouse and selling them at the Famer's Market. He also enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, and sitting by the fire and having his friends come over to share a meal. Ronald enjoyed his dog, Pepper.
Ronald is survived by his, wife, Nancy; two sons, Michael (Jeanette) and Douglas (Tracey) Seaman; a daughter, Deborah (Ronald) Barnett; 8 grandchildren, Lauren Highland, Danielle Whitman, Jessica Seaman, Ashlynn Seaman, Griffin Barnett, Brody Seaman, Dayton Seaman, and Daisy Seaman; and 5 great-grandchildren, Kinz Highland, Lux Highland, Mavyn Highland, Benjamin Whitman, and a baby girl on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of life visitation will be held at Parkersburg Christian Church, 86 E 1150 S in Ladoga, on Saturday March 13, 2021 from 1:00 pm- 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the New Market Fire Department, PO Box 346, New Market, IN 47965, Parkersburg Christian Church 86 E 1150 S, Ladoga, Indiana 47954, or the New Market Christian Church, PO Box 356, New Market, Indiana 47965.
