Rosa Maria Flores Pursell

Rosa Maria Flores Pursell passed away peacefully Thursday morning, December 1, 2016 with family at her side.

She was born in Belem, Brasil on June 23, 1936 to Luis and Waldomira Flores. She married Dean Allen Pursell Sr. and moved to the United States in 1962 where she built her family.

Rosa retired from Ben Hur Nursing home where she worked in medical records for many years. She was known all of her life for her strength and beauty, her dignity, and her determination to never give up.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brother who undoubtedly await her arrival in Heaven with open arms.

She is survived by her two sons; Dean Allen Pursell Jr and Phillip Flores Pursell, her sister Lucia da Silva, three granddaughters; Lindsey (Alex) Cord, Jessica Pursell, and Haley Flores Pursell, her four great-grandchildren; Brady, Remy, Liam, and Haven, and many other family and friends.

Rosa enjoyed the Brazilian beaches, shopping for shoes and perfume, soap operas, and above all else her Savior Jesus Christ and her adoring family.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 3rd, at 2:00 PM in the Hebron Cemetery, off Highway 236 W., Russellville, with Father Christopher Shocklee officiating. A Private Family Visitation will be held at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home.
