Rosana (Miller) Keffer

November 19, 1926 — August 7, 2021

Crawfordsville

Rosana (Miller) Keffer passed on Saturday, August 7, 2021, after a long and love-filled 94 years. She was born in Crawfordsville on November 19, 1926 to Elwood and Mary (Yund) Miller.

She graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1944, and married Reid Keffer of Mace in February of 1946 at her parent's farm. They began their lives together on a farm in Whitesville, and soon after, in 1957, moved to her farm in Advance, where she lived and raised her family for over 60 years. She loved to create and sew, sharing this gift with family and countless patients at Riley Hospital by making quilts and pillows for them. She was also a proud, four generation 4-H member, and served on the Boone County 4-H Council and Fair Board. She was a member of Mace Methodist Church, and attended Advance Community Christian Church, where she served in many ways and loved to work in the kitchen when called upon.

She is survived by her sister, Martha Witt of Colorado; her children, Daryl (Yvonne) Keffer of Jamestown, Marvin (Linda) Keffer of Birmingham, Alabama, and Anita (Gary) Hardwick of Crawfordsville; four grandchildren, Christina (John) Ball, Greg Keffer (Darin Johnson), Darcy (Kyle) Massey, and Amanda Keffer (Chon Cadiz); and three great-grandchildren, Meagan and Jacob Ball, and Josslyn Massey.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her late husband, Reid; and her daughter, Marlene.

Cremation was chosen with a graveside service at Mace Community Cemetery on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 2:00pm with Pastor Steve Vitaniemi officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mace Methodist Church or the Advance Community Christian Church in her memory. Sanders Priebe Funeral Care entrusted with care.
