Roy Lee Smith, 76, of Kingman, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Fount, Kentucky to the late Elmer and Bessie (Lovins) Smith on September 20, 1940.
Roy graduated from Lizton High School in 1959 and on February 14, 1960 he married the love of his life, Linda (Collier) Smith, who survives.
Roy owned and operated Wallace Processing Plant for 35 years and worked at several other meat processing plants throughout Indiana.
He enjoyed the outdoors and loved horses, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of Indiana Bow Hunters Association and the NRA.
He is survived by his wife Linda, 3 children, Ron (Tammy Perry) Smith, Connie (Philip) Collins and Jennifer (Mike) Clore; 10 grandchildren, Amber, Amie, Christan, Chelsea, Ryan, Wade, Aaron, Emily, Tawna, Jennifer; 21 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Loretta (Floyd) Garland, Joan (Chuck) Mohr and Thelma (Mike) Bellinger; 3 brothers, Tom (Jane) Smith, Glen (Melinda Bol) Smith and Carl (Barb) Smith; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents; brother, General Smith; and a great-grandson.
Visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street, in Kingman on Saturday, March 18, from 12:00pm until the time of service at 2:00pm with Pastor Tiffany Courtney officiating. Burial will follow at Wolf Creek Cemetery. Sanders Funeral Care entrusted with care.
