Rozella Clore

Mrs. Rozella Marie "Rozie" Clore, 71, Crawfordsville, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, May 28, at 1:10 AM. She was born August 27, 1942, in Indianola, Illinois, to Edward and Beulah (Barrett) Thomas. She married Fred L. Clore on October 1, 1960, in Paris, Illinois. He survives.

Rozie will forever be remembered as loyal and kind to all who knew her. Her faith and trust in Jesus gave her admirable strength and courage throughout her battle with cancer. She was an avid gardener and you could always find her tending to her beautiful flowers. She loved taking care of her family and doing special things for them. She was known at Christmas time for her candy making, especially fudge and peanut brittle. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a Child of God.

Rozie had worked at Sommer Metalcraft, Crawfordsville, for 20 years and also at the Guiding Light Daycare, Crawfordsville, for 10 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church; and the Ben Hur Car Club.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Lee Ann (Joe) Noble; Tracy (Mary Beth) Clore, and Darrin Clore, all of Crawfordsville. Also surviving are her sisters: Donna (John) Sloan, Danville, Illinois; Bonnie (Steve) Lyman, Tilton, Illinois; Lola (Bob) Snell, Georgetown, Illinois; her brothers: Jim (Ruth) Thomas, Georgetown; Rick Thomas, Indianola, Illinois; and Greg (Sherrie) Thomas, Tilton; grandchildren: Rachel, Melissa, and Michael Noble; Emily, Leslie, and Drake Clore; and Kayla (Brent) Williamson; and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Monday, June 2, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, with Rev. James Ranard officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill North Cemetery.
