Mrs. Ruby A. Baldwin, 91, Crawfordsville, passed away January 1, at 12:45 PM, in the Williamsburg Healthcare. She was born December 19, 1921, in Newtown, to Milton and Lula (Bayless) Bryant. She married Julian "Peanut" Baldwin on January 26, 1941, in Crawfordsville. He preceded her in death May 23, 1992.
Ruby loved working with children and was employed at Willson School for 15 years as a Custodian. She also had worked at Coppage Cleaners, Liberty Laundry, and during WW II at the Harris Packing Plant.. She enjoyed spending time with family; doing yard work; watching sports (especially the Colts and Pacers); crocheting; and visiting neighbors.
She is survived by her daughters: Marilyn (Jim) Keller, Lake Holiday, and Patsy (Butch) Luzader, Crawfordsville. Also surviving are grandchildren: Kathi (Gale) Rhoads, Greeley, Colorado; Janet (Bill) Ellis, Raleigh, North Carolina; Jim (Susan) Keller, Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania; Phil Luzader, Crawfordsville; great grandchildren: Stephanie and Matthew Ellis; Kevin (Baleigh) and Kaci Rhoads; Kileigh, Katelyn, Kortney, and Duncan Keller. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by
her parents: brothers: Ralph, Ronald, Junior Milton, Bobby, and infant Russell Bryant; sisters: Pauline Wrightsman; Edith Miles; and Betty Rodgers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5, at 2:00 PM at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, with Rev. Ken Green officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill South Cemetery.
