Mr. Russell Lee "Bud" Rose, 67, Crawfordsville, passed away on Monday, October 31, at 8:00 PM on County Road 400 W. as a result of a truck accident. He was born February 16, 1944, in Crawfordsville, to Clarence W. and Laura E. (Elkins) Rose. He married Margaret "Peg" Bopp. She survives.

Mr. Rose was a retired construction superintendant. He was a 1962 graduate of Waynetown High School; attended Cedarville College, Cedarville, Ohio; attended First United Methodist Church of Crawfordsville; worked with Habitat for Humanity; attended the Thursday Morning Bible Study at Monte Thompson Insurance Office; taught a Bible class; and enjoyed doing woodworking.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: David (Jill) Rose, Gonvic, Minnesota; James (Diana) Rose, Savannah, Georgia; Jonathan (Stacey) Rose, Orion, Michigan: Step daughters; Alisa Isaacs, Greencastle; Erin (Matt) Fruits, Crawfordsville; Tiffany Isaacs, Indianapolis. Also surviving are sisters: Betty (Paul) Bishop and Bonnie (John) Holt, both of Crawfordsville; and 19 grandchidren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4, at 11:00 AM, at The First United Methodist Church, 212 E. Wabash Ave., Crawfordsville, with Rev. Gary Lewis officiating. Burial will be at the Wesley Cemetery, near Waynetown. Friends may call at the church on Thursday, November 3, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
