Ruth Ilene (Frederick) Bronaugh

Ruth I. Bronaugh, 91, passed away peacefully with family at her side on June 13, 2023 at Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville. She was born on January 28, 1932 to the late Oscar and Bertie (Johnson) Frederick in London, Kentucky. Ruth married John W. Bronaugh on June 3, 1951, and they spent 62 loving years together, until his passing in 2013.
Ruth graduated from New Ross High School, Class of 1949. She was a manager in the payroll department of Herff Jones for 30 years. Ruth was a member of First Assembly of God and also attended services at New Ross United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Home Builders Home Ec. Club for over 50 years. Ruth enjoyed playing euchre and bridge with friends and family.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Deborah Walters (Larry) of New Ross; son, John Bronaugh II (Anita) of New Ross; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 5 great- great grandchildren; and 2 siblings, Doris Boone (Bill), and Charles Frederick (Martha).
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; sister, Corenia Wright-McLean; and brothers-in-law, James Wright and Bob McLean.Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 17th from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 1:00 pm at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S Washington Street in Crawfordsville.
