Ruth Davis

Mrs. Ruth Anna Davis, 78, Crawfordsville, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, February 23, at 9:50 AM. She was born February 12, 1936, in Anderson, Indiana, to Gifford and Bessie (Walters) Strickler. She married Ray L. Davis on May 3, 1957. He preceded her in death in 2008.

Mrs. Davis retired from Cox Cable Co., Ocala, Florida, where she had been a Supervisor. She had attended Williamsport Schools.

She is survived by her children: Vickie Hutchison, Crawfordsville; Sharon Wall, W. Lafayette; and David Roland, Greenwood. Also surviving are her brothers: Mike (Celeste) Strickler, Crawfordsvlle; Don (Helen) Strickler, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee; sisters: Norma (Leroy) Rothrock, Williamsport; Janet Valliere, Crawfordsville; 19 grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sons: Steven Lee Roland and Larry Davis; and a grandson: Raymond Davis.
