Sandra Kay Blackmore, 57, Crawfordsville, passed away Thursday (12/30) at 5:30 PM at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. She was a 19 year survivor of a double lung transplant. She was born June 1, 1953 in Crawfordsville to William Franklin and Marjorie Maxine (Nees) Smith. She married to Max Blackmore September 16, 1983 in Crawfordsville. He survives.
Sandra was a homemaker; a 1971 graduate of Linden High School; and loved antiques, glass collecting, golf, all kinds of auto racing, quilting, and Walt Disney World.
In additon to her husband, she is survived by 2 sisters: Gaylen Rasmussen, Crawfordsville, and Patricia (Ed) Beams, Roachdale. She is also survived by 4 nieces, 3 nephews, 2 great nieces, and 2 great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 niece, and 1 great niece.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 5, at 10:30 AM at the Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St, Crawfordsville, with Rev. Jim Ranard officiating. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery, North Salem. Friends may call Tuesday , January 4, at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
