Ms. Sandra Jeanne' Coffing, 74, Crawfordsville, passed away on Thursday, October 13, at 10:12 PM at Hickory Creek of Crawfordsville. She was born September 6, 1937, in Terre Haute, the oldest child of Robert J. and Isabel (Sneath) Morrow. She married Ernie Coffing May 19, 1956, in Crawfordsville. The later divorced.
Ms. Coffing had been the owner of the C&C Coffee Shop, Springfield, Illinois, for 2 years. She cooked locally at Baxter's Drug Store; The Ben Hur Home; Uncle Smiley's; and the Beta House Fraternity at Wabash College. She also had been a childcare provider. She was a 1955 graduate of Crawfordsville High School and a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church. In her free time she enjoyed gardening, art, reading, and cooking.
She is survived by her children: Joni (Bob) Flynn, Crawfordsville; Holly Coffing, Crawfordsville; Shawn Coffing, Lebanon; Heather Coffing (Paul Ryan), Newtown; Jeff and Jim Coffing, both of Crawfordsville. Also surviving are her sisters: Nancy (Tom) Armstrong; Robin (Dave) Mitton; and Kelly (Craig) Harmon, all of Crawfordsville. There are 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren surviving.
Following cremation, a Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, October 22, at 11:30 AM, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, 1306 E. Main St., Crawfordsville, with Father Dennis Faker, officiating. The family will greet friends at the church on Saturday from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM. A committal service will be held at Calvary Cemetery following the Mass.
