Sandra Jo Cornell

Sandra J. (Schanlaub) Cornell, age 56, of Goodland, passed away at 6:37pm on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at St. Elizabeth East in Lafayette. She was born in Rensselaer, IN on April 26, 1958 to Francis and Patricia (Sanders) Schanlaub. She attended Rensselaer High School and on October 10, 1992 she married Jerry Cornell in Morocco, IN.

Sandra was a waitress and a loving mother of five. She enjoyed reading books, puzzles, gardening, riding on the back of the motorcycle, and attended the Spirit of Life Church in Kingman.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry; her father, Francis; four sons, Dayne (Angela) Joseph and Francis (Nancy) Joseph both of Goodland, Anthony (Christine) Joseph and Jeremy (Promise) Joseph both of Kentland; one daughter, Karianne (Gary) Balser of Lafayette; three sisters, Patricia Schanlaub of Sheridan, Mary (Paul) Joseph of Wolcott, and Laurie Kiger of Cates; four brothers, Robert Schanlaub of Rensselaer, Albert Schanlaub of Alabama, Howard (Lori) Schanlaub of Mellott, and George (Penny) Schanlaub of Cates; 21 grandchildren, Oschia, Jaidyn, Haylie, Deavon, Skylar, Dameon, Jakey, Elijah, Cameron, Isaiah, Ammelia, Robert, Ciara, Desiree, Cody, Tre, Bradley, Zakary, Jeremy, Ivy, Jacob; and one great-grandchildren, Daphne.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia and two grandchildren, Damen and Bryan.
