Sandra Kay Halford

Waynetown, IN. Mrs. Sandra "Sandy" K. Halford, age 75, passed away Saturday morning while a resident of Lane House Nursing Home.  Sandy was born July1, 1944 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Harold and Violet (Rike) Gibbs. She graduated from Crawfordsville High school and first married Jim Meadows in October 1962 and they later divorced. Sandy then married Daniel C. Halford on March 24, 1979 and he survives her. Sandy retired from Banjo Corp. after 32 years of employment and last held the position of Shipping Supervisor. Her memberships formerly included the Women of the Moose and the Beta Chi Chapter of Psi Iota Xi sorority. Besides her husband Sandy leaves her daughters Margaret (husband Glenn) Jones, Crawfordsville and Angela (husband John) Fielder of Veedersburg. Step daughters Dana McKean (companion Greg Frieders), Shelbyville, IN., Elaine (Husband Gary) Herbert and Lisa Parker (companion Phil Bowling)  all of Columbus, IN. She is also survived by her brother Harold "Keith" Gibbs, Crawfordsville, IN. and sisters Nita (husband Phil) Harrison, New Market, IN., Connie (husband Benny) Beverly, Crawfordsville, IN. and Peggy ( husband Ed) Osborne of Mace, IN. along with 15 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Vickie Fuller.

Funeral services for Sandra Halford will be conducted at 6:00pm Wednesday March 18th at Shoemaker Funeral Home, 202 Bratton Rd. Waynetown, In. and officiated by Rev. Dick Shirar to be followed by cremation. The family will receive guests from 3:00pm until the services on Wednesday. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 50 East 91st. Graveside comital services will be held for Sandy and Dan Halford at 1:00 PM Saturday June 27, 2020 at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
