Scott Jay Douglas

Mr. Scott Jay Douglas, 59, West Lafayette and formerly of Crawfordsville, passed away in his home on Monday, October 26th, at 9:26 AM. He was born August 28th, 1956 in Crawfordsville to Raymond Harold and Lois Evelyn (Blacketer) Douglas. He married Kimberly Billingsley September 1st, 2001 in Crawfordsville. She preceded him in death on April 6th, 2014.

Scott was a Carpenter for 20 years with Edwards & Van Matre Construction. He was a graduate of Crawfordsville High School and was a U. S. Marine Corps Veteran. He enjoyed collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia.

He is survived by his children: Amanda Summers, Logansport; Niki (Rob) Segner, Monticello; Tauri Douglas, Norristown, Pennsylvania; Chelsea Douglas, Indianapolis; Scotti Douglas, Crawfordsville; step-children: Ryan and Brian Billingsley, Crawfordsville; and Stacy Billingsley, W. Lafayette. Also surviving are his sisters: Debbie Douglas, Crawfordsville; Marsha (Don) Tharp, Indianapolis; Linda Douglas, San Francisco; and 12 grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.

A Public Graveside Service is scheduled for 3:00 PM Friday, October 30th, in the Oak Hill South Cemetery. A Visitation time will be held from Noon until 2:00 PM Friday at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, where Military Rites will be conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps and the Crawfordsville American Legion and VFW Posts Honor Guard at 2:00 PM.
