Sharon Kay Lucas was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world peacefully and with little notice, but surrounded by her children on August 21, 2021 at age 68.
She was born to John and Donna Mayotte on June 14, 1953. After graduating from Crawfordsville High School in 1971, Sharon lived for a time in Pennsylvania, but eventually moved back to Indiana and met the love of her life, Eric Lucas. Together, they shared two children, Paul and Jason, and raised them to be men of whom she could be proud.
Sharon was an avid reader-particularly of true crime-and a passionate fan of television and movies, Wizard of Oz being her absolute favorite, however she could enjoy Sharknado as much as The Maltese Falcon. She also loved experimenting with different recipes in the kitchen, thrift shopping, and adorning herself and her home with all things purple.
She was proceeded in death by her father, John, and is survived by her sons and her mother, Donna. She is also survived by her five granddaughters-Annabelle, Sarah, Claire, Madelyn, and Emily-as well her two brothers, John and Alan Ray, her sister-in-law, Christa, and her daughters-in-law, Kami and Stephanie. A memorial service is scheduled for 3pm on August 27, 2021 with visitation at 2pm at the Sanders Priebe Funeral Care.
