Sheila Ann (LaFollette) Rayburn

Sheila Ann (LaFollette) Rayburn, age 72 of Crawfordsville, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Franciscan Health Lafayette East. She was born in Crawfordsville on September 24, 1948 to the late Norman Lee & Norma Jean (Taylor) LaFollette.

Sheila attended Crawfordsville Schools and on October 8, 1966, she married Tommie Dale Rayburn, who preceded her in death on June 7, 1997. She was a member of the Garfield Apostolic Christian Church and a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary. She was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother, and nana. She enjoyed playing bingo, cooking, playing games on her phone and playing pull tabs.

She is survived by a son, Timothy D. Rayburn; two daughters, Kim (Mike) Judd and Kelly (David) Dowell; three sisters, Sharon Williams, Rebecca (Vernon) Dowell, and Carolyn (Willie) Shaw; three grandchildren, T.J. Dowell, Haven Rayburn, and Noah Rayburn; three step-grandchildren, Stephany Indorf, Laura Judd, and Kenzie Judd; a great granddaughter, Tara Indorf; and her dog, Briggs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tom; a brother, Steven LaFollette; a sister, Sandra LaFollette; and three grandsons, Taylor, Brodey, and Brayden Rayburn.

Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S Washington St, Crawfordville on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm. The funeral will be on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 1:00pm with Kristen Bridgham officiating. The service will be live-streamed and recorded which can be viewed on her obituary page at www.sandersfuneralcare.com. Burial will follow at Oak Hill South Cemetery.
