Sherry C. Pederson

Sherry C. (Clodfelder) Pederson, age 78 of Hillsboro passed away on April 4, 2018 at her son’s house in Crown Point while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Gary, Indiana on May 3, 1939 to the late Guy & Ruth (Bailey) Clodfelder.

She graduated from Merrillville High School in 1957. Throughout the years she was an assistant librarian at Pierce Jr. High School in Merrillville and in management at Hancock Fabrics. She was a member of the Phanuel Lutheran Church in Wallace and was affiliated with numerous organizations and clubs. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and genealogy.

She is survived by her son, Kevin (Julie) Pederson of Crown Point; two daughters, Kirsten (Brian) Zerba of New York and Kathrin (Dale) Lemaich of Crown Point; a sister, Sandra (Jim) Tarrant of Hillsboro; six grandchildren, Megan, Kassi, Brittany, Cassie, Jenna, and Nic; 2 great grandchildren, Kash and Rowan; nephew, Colin (Mickey) Tarrant; great nephew, Frankie and great niece, Maddie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sally; nephew, Michael; and niece, Megan.

Visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street in Kingman on Monday, April 9, 2018 from 12:00pm till the time of service at 2:00pm with Pastor Lowell Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to Vermilion County Illinois War Museum, 307 N Vermilion St, Danville, IL 61832.
