Shirley Runyon

Shirley Ann Runyon, 83, Crawfordsville, passed away June 16th at 10:12 P.M. , in the Franciscan St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born on November 2, 1930 in Crawfordsville to Roy and Geneva (Moody) Hesler. She married Melvin Rex Runyon on May 29, 1948 in Crawfordsville. He survives.

Shirley was a Homemaker and a retired Executive of Airway/Target. She was a past member of the Crawfordsville Municipal Women's Golf Club and an avid card player. She was a 1948 graduate of Crawfordsville High School. She enjoyed travelling with the Donnelley Club and explored the United States with her family and Friends. Melvin and Shirley resided in Lakeland, Florida and moved back to Crawfordsville to be with their family. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, playing cards and going out to eat. Shirley was a friend to many and will be dearly missed. Rest in peace.

In addition to her beloved Husband, she is survived by her son: Steve(Julie) Runyon, Lerna, Il., daughter: Jane(Tom) Murray, Crawfordsville; daughter-in-law: Kelly Runyon Marshall, Il., grandchildren: Aimee (Tanner) Garrison; Aaron (LeeAnn) Allee; Chris (Ashley) Walsh; and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her youngest child, Douglas; and her parents.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Friday, June 20, at Powers Priebe Funeral Home with Rev. James Ranard officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, June 19, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in the Oak Hill North Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the Family requests that donations be made to the Crawfordsville Animal Welfare League, 1104 Big Four Arch Rd., Crawfordsville, IN 47933
