Steve Hartman

Mr. Steffen G. "Steve" Hartman, 60, Crawfordsville, passed away Friday, February 15, at 12:27 PM, in the Franciscan St. Elizabeth Crawfordsville Hospital. He was born April 17, 1952, in Enzberg, Germany, to Elbert G. Jr. and Erna Toni (Gossweiler) Hartman. He married Rosalyn Dee Mitchell, April 11, 1987, in Crawfordsville. She preceded him in death April 13, 2011.

Mr. Hartman had worked at Closure Systems International for 30 years; was a 1970 graduate of Crawfordsville High School; member of the Sons of American Legion Post #72; member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #1005; and loved I.U. Basketball.

He is survived by his sons: Damon (Candis) Hartman, Chris (Lisa) Hartman, Reed Morrison, all of Crawfordsville; and Matt (Kari) Morrison, Portland, Oregon; his daughter: Randi Morrison (companion, Laura Page), Crawfordsville.. Also surviving is his Mother, Toni Hartman, Crawfordsville; his brother: Milton (Betty) Hartman, Crawfordsville; his sisters: Carolyn (Gary) Harrison, Crawfordsville; and Kristina (John) Lieske, Russellville; grandchildren: Bailey, Camryn, Parker, Brody, and Riley Hartman. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his Father in 1976, and his grandparents.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 20, at 1:00 PM, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, with Rev. Greg McDonald officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill North Cemetery.
