Steven Wayne Cornett

Mr. Steven Wayne Cornett, 67, Crawfordsville, passed away peacefully in his home Monday, January 22nd, 2018, at 10:08 PM. He was born January 21st, 1951, in Crawfordsville to Ottis and Lilly (Sturman) Cornett. He married Carolyn Sue Cronk in Crawfordsville on September 9th, 1981. She survives.

Steven was retired from Ingress Plastene as a Pressman after 38 years of employment. He was a Crawfordsville High School graduate; a member of the Garfield Apostolic Christian Church, where he was a Deacon; and in his free time, he enjoyed fishing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters: Carrie (Chris) Arnold, Avon; Melissa (Melvin) Keller, Veedersburg; and his son: Bryan Davis, Crawfordsville. Also surviving is his sister: Connie (Jerry) Perkins, Mace; his brothers: Duane (Peggy) Cornett, Crawfordsville; Randy (Laurel) Cornett, Somerset, Kentucky; Jerald (Linda) Cornett, Brownsvalley; Don (Rose) Cornett, Bloomington, Illinois; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister: Betty Strunk.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Saturday, January 27th, at the Garfield Apostolic Christian Church, 4485 E. 300 N., Crawfordsville, with Rev. Vernon Dowell officiating. Burial will follow in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the service time. Memorials in Steven's memory may be made to the Garfield Apostolic Christian Church.
