Mrs. Thelma Wilson of Waynetown was reborn on her 88th birthday into heaven. Thelma was a current resident of Williamsburg Nursing Home for the end of her journey here on earth and her family wishes to thank the staff of Williamsburg for the wonderful care and feeling of kinship that they gave to Thelma and her family. Thelma was born here on earth on September 25,1928 at Campbellsville, Kentucky, the daughter of Charles Shofner and Mattie (nee: Richardson) Shofner Carter. She was educated in the Campbellsville, KY school district.
Thelma married Roy N. Wilson in June of 1951 and he preceded her in death in February of 2000. Thelma and Roy raised their 5 children in Waynetown and she is survived by: Jerry Wilson of Lafayette, IN; Marcia Young of Crawfordsville, IN; Carolyn Littleton of Lafayette, IN; and Nancy Wilson of Waynetown, IN. Thelma will also be missed by her 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Along with her husband, Thelma was preceded in death by her daughter Betty Tanselle and 2 brothers; Paul and William Birtchie Shofner.

Graveside funeral services for Thelma will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday September 28th at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. Allen Sparks officiating. Those who wish may make memorial donations to either Alzhiemers Association, 50 E. 91st Street Ste# 100 Indianapolis, IN 46209-4830 or to the American Lung Association 115 West Washington St. Ste# 1180-S Indianapolis, IN 46204. Shoemaker Funeral Home 202 Bratton Road Waynetown, IN is honored to assist the family with these services.
