Thomas Wayne Fruits

Thomas Wayne Fruits, age 78 of Crawfordsville passed away on Monday, September 16, 2019 at St Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.  He was born in Crawfordsville on July 9, 1941 to the late James Allen & Mary L. (Lewellen) Fruits.

Tom graduated from New Market High School and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.  In 1964 he married Peggy Greer, they later divorced.  Tom worked as a farm hand and worked at Certified Engineering in Indianapolis as a surveyor.  He was a member of the Byron Cox American Legion Post #72 and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and drinking beer.

He is survived by a son, Jeff Fruits of Crawfordsville; two brothers, Fred (Peg) Fruits of Crawfordsville and Ron (Leesa) Fruits of Avilla; a sister, Jean (Don) Moser of Waveland; two grandchildren, Brittney Fruits of Crawfordsville and Andrew Jeffers of Waveland; three great-grandchildren, Lily, Hope, and Keagan; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
