Travis Duane Cornett

Travis Duane Cornett, age 46 of Crawfordsville passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. He was born in Crawfordsville on April 10. 1972 to Duane & Peggy Jean (Crane) Cornett.

He graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1991 and married the love of his life, Stacee M. (Schulte) Cornett, on June 15, 2013 in Gatlinburg, TN. Travis worked for Schloot’s Furniture for 22 years, then he purchased the business in 2008 and it became Cornett’s Furniture and Bedding. Travis was known for his heart of gold, always lending a helping hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed collecting muscle cars, motorcycles, and anything with a motor. He enjoyed antique shopping, vacationing, was always goofing off, and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandbabies.

He is survived by his wife, Stacee Cornett; his parents, Duane & Peggy Cornett; three sons, Trevor Dean Cornett, Xavier Swaney Cornett, and Corbin Osborne; a daughter, Katie Osborne; two brothers, Ben (Sayrah) Cornett and Derek Cornett (Kari Lewis); a sister, Christy (Chris) Horbach; two grandchildren, Bristol Rahn and Nova Cornett; several nieces and nephews, his two beloved dogs, Buster and Diesel and many many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Otis & Lil Cornett and Thomas & Freida Crane.

Visitation will be at New Hope Christian Church, 2746 US Hwy 231 S, Crawfordsville on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 2:00pm till the time of the Celebration of Life Service at 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Cornett Education Fund for his grandchildren’s future education.
