Virginia Mae (Pittman) Davis, age 84, of Estero, Florida and formerly of Waynetown passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Joanne's House at Hope Hospice in Bonita Springs, Florida. She was born in Crawfordsville on April 26, 1937 to the late Francis Ambrose & Amanda Ellen (Murphy) Pittman.
Virginia was a loving mother, wife, and homemaker. She had worked in a jewelry store and daycare; loved to play golf, ride her bike, walk, swim laps, and most of all loved spending time with her family.
On August 16, 1963 she married the love of her life, Larry Davis, who survives. She is also survived by her children, Melissa A. (Ben) Couch of Chesterfield, Indiana, Deborah K. Rush of West End, North Carolina, and Larry D. Davis Jr. of Punta Gorda, Florida; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dennis J. Rogers; her 2 brothers, Fred Pittman and David Rush; 3 sisters, Ruth Weir, Cornella Peterson, and Margaret Weber; a grandson, Matthew L. Northcutt; and a great grandson, Jagger Dean Masters.
There was a private family service on Monday, February 14, 2022 at Sanders Shoemaker Funeral Care in Waynetown.
