Virginia Meagher

Virginia Helen (Starcevich) Meagher, age 93 of Crawfordsville, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at The Lane House in Crawfordsville. She was born in Pekin, Illinois on March 27, 1930 to the late Charles & Stella (Minnett) Starcevich.

Virginia graduated from Pekin High School in 1947 and in August of 1949 she married Donald Glen Meagher, who preceded her in death on December 11, 1987. Throughout the years she was a custodian at Hoover Elementary and Tuttle Middle School and worked as a clerk at CVS for many years after retirement. She was a hard worker and was always working and could be found riding her three wheel bicycle around town.

She is survived by her son, Donald Gordon Meagher of Crawfordsville; two daughter-in-law's, Dee Meagher of Ridgeland, South Carolina and Deb Burdett-Meagher of Crawfordsville; a brother, Charles Starcevich of Florida; six grandchildren, Donald Geoffrey Meagher of California, Gianna (Bryan) Smith of South Carolina, Kerry Meagher of Indianapolis, Kayla Meagher of Anderson, Sean (Amanda) Meagher of Georgia, and Derrick Meagher of Georgia; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter, and a special nephew, Gregory Starcevich; and several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Glen Meagher; a son, Larry Meagher; four brothers, John, Larry, Eugene and Ralph Starcevich; two sisters, Mary Lang and Teresa Neville; and a granddaughter.

Cremation was chosen with a Gathering of Family and Friends at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S Washington St, in Crawfordsville on Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm . Share memories and condolences online at www.SandersFuneralCare.com.
