Virginia Hockett

Mrs. Virginia R. Hockett, 91, Pinellas Park, Florida, formerly of Crawfordsville, passed away Saturday, May 19, at the Woodside Hospice, Pinellas Park. She was born July 22,1920, in Roachdale, to John and Wilhelmine (Stokes) Williams. She married William F. Hockett, March 15, 1985, in Biloxi, Mississippi. He preceded her in death December 11, 2003.

Mrs. Hockett was a homemaker; graduate of Roachdale High School; member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxilliary.

She is survived by her son: Bill (Sherrie) McFerran, Largo, Florida; 3 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Marcia McFerran-Wiles; a grandchild; and a great grandchild.

A Public Graveside service will be held Monday, May 28, at the Brick Chapel Cemetery, Highway 231, near Greencastle, at 1:45 PM. Friends may call at the Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S.
