Virginia Mae King

Virginia “Ginny” Mae (Richey) King, age 92 of Crawfordsville passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Williamsburg Health Care. She was born in Ladoga on March 22, 1926 to the late Horace & Thelma (Davis) Richey. She graduated from Crawfordsville High School and on October 5, 1945 she married Glen King Jr, who preceded her in death on May 26, 1996.

Throughout the years Ginny worked as a cashier at Kroger’s in Crawfordsville for 40 years and worked at K-mart in Sebring Florida for 10 years until she was 80 years old. She was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed cooking, bingo, bowling, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Anna) King of New Market; daughter, Tina King of Crawfordsville; daughter-in-law, Donna King of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Nettie Ward of Waynetown and Betty Young of Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, Cynthia Cooper, Stephanie Livingston, Jeffrey King, Regina King, Sherri (Scott Snyder) King; and Travis King; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson, Keaton King; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glen; a son, Bill King; and a grandson, Ethan.

Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care (formerly Powers Priebe Funeral Home) 315 S Washington St. in Crawfordsville on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 1:00pm till the time of the funeral service at 2:00pm.
