Virginia Ruth Sarver

Virginia Ruth Sarver, age 92 of Crawfordsville passed away on May 6, 2018 at Williamsburg Health Care in Crawfordsville. She was born in Putnam County on April 27, 1926 to the late Roy Ulysses & Chasie (Young) Stultz.

Virginia graduated from Alamo High School 1944 and on January 24, 1946 in Indianapolis she married Russell Alva Sarver, who preceded her in death on April 25, 2015.

Throughout the years she worked at RR Donnelly’s as a proof reader in Department A, Sears Roebuck Company, and retired from American Cities Water Company in 1987. She enjoyed people and was delicate and sweet like a rose. She was a loving mother and sacrificed for us kids to have everything we needed. She was a member of the Yountsville Community Church, loved to square and round dance and camped with the 1,000 trails organization.

She is survived by her children, Beth (Gary) Jeffers of Waynetown, Catherine (Dwayne) Harris of Crawfordsville, James Sarver of Williamsport, and David Sarver of Cloverdale; a brother, Robert Stultz of Crawfordsville; a sister, Patricia Tincher of Michigan; 8 grandchildren Thomas, Todd, Michael, Heather, Trinette, Alyssa, Jim, and Jason; 16 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Russell Sarver; brother, Bruce (Edna) Stultz; and brother-in-law, Burton Tincher.

Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S Washington St, Crawfordsville on Friday, May 11, 2018 from 11:00am till the time of service at 1:00pm with Pastor Duane Abston officiating. Entombment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorials donations may be given to Yountsville Community Church, 4382 W SR 32, Crawfordsville, IN 47933.
