Wendy Kay Mortimore

Wendy Kay (Smith) Mortimore, age 48, of Veedersburg, passed away on October 4, 2017 at IU Health Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis.

She was born in Danville, IL on October 4, 1969 to the late Joe C. Smith and Shirley (Cowan) Smith-Bahls. She graduated from Fountain Central High School and was a school bus driver for Southeast Fountain School Corporation for several years. She was a loving mother and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Eva.

She is survived by her three sons, Jakob, Joshua, and Trey Mortimore; Kris Mortimore, father of her sons; step-mother, Shirley Smith; sister, Mindy Ferguson; step-sisters, Missy Canfield and Rhonda Stuart; step-brother, Scott (Chris) Edgar; granddaughter, Eva; uncle, Jerry Cowan; and special friends, Sara Byers and Shannon Willett.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joe; mother, Shirley; and her three brothers, Joe, Steven, and David.

Visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street, in Kingman on Monday, October 9th from 1:00 pm till the time of service at 2:00pm with Pastor Gary Johnson officiating.
