William Monroe Cody

Mr. William Monroe "Bill" Cody, 77, Linden, passed away Monday, January 30th, at 8:16 AM in the The Springs at Lafayette. He was born September 10th, 1939, in Lebanon, to Monroe and Margaret (Spencer) Cody. He married Norma Adel Wyatt on June 1at, 1993, in Tippecanoe County. She survives.

Bill was a retired Truck Driver, having worked for over 20 years for Quality Carriers. He was a member of the Stockwell United Methodist Church; a high school graduate; and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters: Lisa of Tennessee; Linda of Pennsylvania; Katie of Arkansas; his step-daughter: Michelle (Ron) Steward of Terre Haute; and his step-son: Larry (Traci) Rogers of Pine Village. Also surviving are his sisters: Patricia (Forester) Denny, Linden; Leona Tschaun, Linden; Norma Smith, Alabama; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a great-grandson: Alexander Steward.

Cremation was chosen with a Family Memorial Gathering being held at a later date.
