William Eugene DeMotte

William "Buzz" Eugene DeMotte, age 71 of Kingman, passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Accolade Healthcare in Danville, Illinois while surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Oneiga, Kentucky on August 2, 1949 to the late Billy Gene & Mary Ellen (Callihan) DeMotte.

Buzz attended Covington High School and proudly served his country in the United States Marines Corps during the Vietnam War. On July 13, 1993 he married the love of his life, Donna Kay Copsy, who survives. Throughout the years he worked as a farm hand for Walker Farms and enjoyed arrow head hunting, coon hunting, fishing, and hanging out with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Donna DeMotte; four children, Aaron DeMotte, Dana Dowers, Shawn Howard, and Jennifer Howard; three grandchildren, Shannon Vanhoosier, Christopher Howard, and Casey Clark; eight great grandchildren, Ellan, Skylar, Landon, Wyatt, Aralynn, J.T.; Summer, and Dristian; two brothers, Jerry "Darby" DeMotte and Jeffery DeMotte; a special cousin, JoDell Robinson; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Gary Carpenter; a sister, Bonnie DeMotte-Puckett; two infant sisters, Teresa and Wanda; and a grandson, Colton Howard.

Visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street in Kingman on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 12:00pm till the time of the funeral service at 2:00pm.
